Nusa Penida is a small island located in the northeast of Bali, which has beautiful tourist spots that were discovered recently. East Nusa Penida is popular with both local and foreign tourists, offering interesting and extraordinary places for holiday trips.
Goa Giri Putri is a temple built inside a cave with successive shrines. Balinese Hindus come to follow the purification tradition, which lasts several hours as it includes stops at every temple built inside the cave. Go faster or partake in the last two Hindu-Buddhist temple ceremonies before the exit (recommended).
Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach are two of the most beautiful beaches on Nusa Penida island, which are now very accessible. It takes about an hour from Toya Pakeh port to reach these beaches. During your visit, you can see Atuh Beach on one side and Diamond Beach on the other, where the entrance to Atuh Beach has a huge limestone cliff and beautiful white sand. Diamond Beach is most famous for the stairs that cut through the cliffs. Atuh Beach is great for swimming at high tide, as there aren’t too many waves or currents.
Rumah Pohon at Nusa Penida treehouse is very famous on Instagram and Facebook. The beauty of this treehouse will surely amaze you. The builders constructed Batu Molenteng Treehouse on a tree, as the name suggests. Around it, there are shady green trees, making the atmosphere very beautiful and natural. The uniqueness of the stone house Molenteng tree in Nusa Penida has become one of the most popular attractions today. Travelers can even use it as a place to stay.
Teletubbies Hills are located on the southeast side of Nusa Penida island. The center of the island features a group of big round hills, named after their resemblance to the background scenery from the Teletubbies kids’ show. The best time to visit would be between the months of December and April (roughly). Between April and May, the hills have a more yellow color. No hiking required to view the hills; walk up the center hill for a closer look.
